Glimpses of Pujniya Mataji

Param Pujya Guruji often used to say, “Shiva without shakti is incomplete and so is shakti without shiva incomplete.

A virtuous soul took birth in a virtuous Brahmin family in  Ludhiana on 1st of  May 1940.  After completing her studies, she entered into the profession of  teaching and retired as Head Mistress of a Government School in Gurgaon .  She got married to our Param Pujya Guruji on 28th of  February 1960 and thus she became our Pujniya Mataji.

When Guruji started sewa  in 1973-74, like a true shakti, she gave overwhelming support.  Shishyas as well as devotees to the sthan received motherly love and affection from her.  Her kitchen became a place for preparation of langar, which was happily partaken by shishyas and devotees.  More often than not, Param Pujya Guruji would be engrossed in sewa for hours together – at times till pass midnight – but she would patiently wait till Guruji had had his food and ate only thereafter – a true manifestation of  patti-vrat dharma and pursuit of sadhna.

When Guruji decided, on his own, to leave his human form, he asked Pujniya Mataji, one day before the appointed day of his departure, to visit Neelkanth Dham (the place he had selected at Najafgarh, close of Sai Babaji’s Mandir, which he said would be his final resting place) to light a jyot where his Samadhi was to be made.  As she lighted the jyot,  a very bright light appeared in the room for a few moments.   Divine Powers had descended there.  In reality, Param Pujya Guruji has not gone; he is just invisible and has become omnipresent.  He continues to be as gracious as ever.  Time and again he has made us realize that he is around and many have felt his presence.

Pujniya Mataji continues to carryout the traditions that Param Pujya Guruji had established during his life time.  During all important functions/festivals – may it be Bara Guruwar, Prakash Diwas, Ganesh Chaturthi, Mahashivratri, Guru Purnima,  Nirwan Diwas,  Dhan Teras  -  untiringly she showers her blessings on hundreds and thousands of persons who visit Gurgaon Sthan or Samadhi Sthal – Neelkanth Dham.

Because of her keen interest in the field of education, she organized to establish a school – Himgiri Public School – in Gurgaon.  A humble beginning of a Primary School has blossomed into a Secondary School which has already earned recognition from the Directorate of  Secondary Education, Government of  Haryana, Chandigarh.  Earnest efforts are on to take it to the level of Higher Secondary School and have it affiliated to CBSE (Central Board of  Secondary Education).  Hopefully, it should be possible to achieve it before the year (2010) passes out.

Pujniya  Mataji  also opened  a Training Centre for poor and widowed ladies where they were taught tailoring and other handicrafts in order to make them financially self reliant.

Her  message is:  SERVING HUMANITY IS THE BEST WAY TO WORSHIP GOD.
