Param Pujya Guruji was born on Basant Panchmi day in January 1938 at village Hariana, Distt. Hoshiarpur, Punjab, in a virtuous Brahmin family. His father was a very religious and kind-hearted person. A virtuous son of a virtuous father, he had a strong inclination towards spiritualism right from childhood. “Expressions on his face suggested as if he was in search of something,” his elder sister once said. He would visit the Sheetla Mata Mandir near the house every day and enjoyed the company of sadhus. When barely eight years old, he would sit under a tree and meditate for hours together. These are indications of an exalted soul transmigrating from the previous birth to complete an unfinished mission. He had his high school education at Hariana and came to Delhi (sometime in the year 1952).
